The MagnaPool Commercial kit at Kuranda included a Commercial MagnaPool hydroxinateur, Diamond Kleen glass filter media and minerals.

THE KURANDA MAGNAPOOL WATER

THE KURANDA MAGNAPOOL - NO CHLORINE SMELL

  • The system generates its own natural chlorine as a by-product of hydroxination (also known as milk of magnesia) but there are no nasty smells from the disinfection by-products.
  • Barely detectible combined chlorine levels.

MAGNAPOOL WATER IS GENTLE

  • Centre managers, instructors and bathers are spending up to 4 hours per day in the pool without
    experiencing skin dryness, skin and eye irritations or hair discolouration.
  • Bathers are travelling 30-40 minutes further than their local pool to swim in the soothing MagnaPool water

SANITIZERS

  • MagnaPool produces its own hypochlorous sanitizer from the Hydroxinateur. The approximate cost for the minerals for a 650,000 litre commercial pool over the course of a year is about $4500 (for 1500kg.)
  • A sodium hypo run pool of this size would use $14,000-$15,000 of sodium hypo per year (based on 0.29cents per litre.)


CAPITAL OUTLAY

MagnaPool commercial pool equipment and media is rented and therefore no capital is tied up in the equipment.


THE KURANDA MAGNAPOOL CAN SAVE MILLIONS OF LITRES OF WATER

compared to a regular commercial pool of the same size.

  • Substantial water and mineral savings and due to reduced backwash* frequency and shorter backwash* times.
  • This MagnaPool was backwashed twice in 6 months, therefore the total loss of water from backwashing
was only 60,000 litres.
  • Commercial pool’s loss of water from backwashing in 6 months for the same size pool can be over 600,000 litres.
  • When you backwash* from a regular commercial pool, you are dumping water loaded with chemicals, chlorine and chloramines down the drain and into the environment.
  • When you backwash* a MagnaPool, the mineral based water is far more gentle on the environment and can be stored and used to irrigate the lawn area around the pool WHEN DILUTED 5:1 (subject to local council by-laws).
