During last summer you installed the Magnapool system. Hence, we have experienced the system over all four seasons and I am in a position to judge how it functions in practice. Additionally, prior to the Magnapool we first had a salt pool and then next installed the Chemigem which provides an automatic chlorinator system. This permits me to compare the three systems, as follows:
• With Salt and chlorine you cannot use the back wash in the garden because the water will kill the plants. This in itself should make us ask the question, “if it kills plants - what does it do to our bodies?” With Magnapool, the back wash goes straight onto my garden and the plants are healthy. The potassium and magnesium in the backwash seems to promote plant health. This means I benefit with healthy plants and I save water.
• With the salt and chlorine we needed to immediately shower and wash our bathers after swimming. With the Magnapool there is no need to do this.
• With salt, the evaporation disperses the salt which causes corrosion of metals in equipment and screws, nails etc in any surrounding construction. With Magnapool we are able to have the lap pool enclosed in a pool house that also contains gym equipment and there are no corrosion problems.
• With the chlorine system, when the pool is enclosed there is a strong smell of chlorine. With Magnapool there is no smell.
• With the chlorine system, after a few laps my son came out with painful red eyes. With the Magnapool system it has not harmed our eyes. Additionally, I have found that garden injuries incurred when rose pruning healed considerably faster when I had a daily swim in the Magnapool.
• With both the salt pool and the Chemigem chlorinator I experienced problems in keeping the pool clear, to keep the pool chemicals balanced and to stop the growth of algae. They both demanded considerable maintenance activities on my part. With Magnapool we have never had such brilliant, sparkling, clear water all year round and with virtually no effort or maintenance on my part.
After adverse effects on the health of our family, water shortages in SA, and the seemingly never ending battle with pool maintenance I was at the point of having it filled in. Then I was told of Magnapool - it seemed too good to be true. After talking to Adelaide Pool Patrol I thought it seemed worth giving it a try. The result is one of amazed delight and I now wonder why everyone hasn’t changed over to it. Going by our experience, Magnapool is fantastic and so is everyone at Adelaide Pool Patrol who has provided excellent technical advice and service.
So thanks to Magnapool and Adelaide Pool Patrol we now have the sparkling clear pool we desired that is a pleasure to swim in and, as a bonus, healthy for our family and garden!
